Democracy as a political system has not advanced around the world in the past decade and by some measures it has actually declined, a new report from the Congressional Research Service observes.
The obstacles are not all located abroad. Unlike its predecessors, the Trump Administration does not include democracy promotion as part of its national security strategy, CRS noted. And for the first time last year, the Economist Intelligence Unit categorized the United States as a “flawed democracy.”

4Chan Sparks Mass Triggering With NPC Meme; Twitter Responds With Ban Hammer
The “weaponized autists” at 4Chan have done it again, because they can; a new meme suggesting that liberals are soulless idiots who can't think for themselves has gone viral. The concept compares Democrats to “nonplayable characters,” or NPCs – the recurring characters in video games with repetitive lines and limited knowledge. Lack of an “inner voice” is a dead giveaway that someone may be an NPC.

The idea of creating a world of masters and slaves, with a ruling class coming from a small group of self-designated “chosen ones,” whose stated designs on world domination has been known for thousands of years, is not new, its only been censored from modern Western History.

Commenting on the article you sent, “Americans Strongly Dislike PC Culture:”
I think the numbers on the Conservative/Trump base at 25% of the electorate is about right. As is the number for the hard left. But this study strongly smacks of a group of academics with a theory that they used a survey to prove.
Despite its flaws, I do think this survey reveals a cause for great concern to the GOP. With up to 50% of the electorate tired of political correctness but also imbued with shared social values, that include moderate to very moderate views on the social issues that matter the most to the hard left and hard right. That’s a huge swing vote. Much bigger than traditional analysis suggests. This is born out by issue based attitude research, which strongly suggests that a majority of Americans no longer oppose a total ban on abortion or gay marriage; who refute racism; and who support equal rights for women for example.
Those swing voters are not going to feel comfortable with a further move to the right and/or support a President who only ever plays to the 25% of hardcore Conservatives. Any more then they would support a swing to the hard left.
