American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus

The American Committee for Peace in the Caucasus (formerly the American Committee for Peace in Chechnya) is a Freedom House initiative that bills itself as the ”only private, nongovernmental organization in North America exclusively dedicated to promoting the peaceful resolution of the Russo-Chechen war.”[1] According to Freedom House, ACPC “coordinates with an international network of activists, journalists, scholars and nongovernmental organizations to advocate for and support human rights and rule of law, to monitor the upward trend of violence in the region, and to promote peace and stability in the North Caucasus.”[2] As of early 2013, the committee appeared to be largely defunct.

Founded in 1999 by U.S. liberal hawks and neoconservatives primarily interested in using the conflict in Chechnya to press an anti-Russian agenda, the ACPC eventually updated its name and broadened its focus after conflicts erupted between Russia and other parts of the Caucasus, including Ingushetia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, and North Ossetia.[3]

In early 2013, the committee attracted attention when the suspects in the April 2013 Boston marathon bombing were identified as ethnic Chechens. Although early reports did not indicate that the suspects were driven by Chechen nationalist motivations, some writers questioned whether the FBI had improperly ignored warnings from Russian authorities that one of the alleged bombers had met repeatedly with a suspected terrorist leader in Dagestan.

A writer for Antiwar.com suggested that groups like ACPC had promulgated an anti-Russian bias in Washington that precluded serious consideration of Russian warnings about potential Chechen terrorists. “How did [the bombers] manage to evade the multi-billion dollar ‘security apparatus, which was set up with so much fanfare after 9/11? The answer is to be found in the manipulations and odorous alliances dictated by our interventionist foreign policy, a throwback to the cold war era, which has deemed Russia an enemy and the Chechens the Good Guys.”[4]

Update 12:55 pm: We have new information that Al-Harbi could not have been back doored into the US without presidential authority. Bypassing a 3-B terrorist watch status is not something an ICE supervisor could have initialed through. We know someone who sponsored an East European nursing student for a visa. The cost? Posting a $1 million bond.

The Bush family has had long and intimate business dealings with the bin Laden family. They bailed George W. out of his short stint in the oil business. They came in to buy out Harken Energy, where it’s subsequent demise went on the bin Laden family tab and was technically off George W’s future presidential resume. Left unresolved was a $50,000 loan to GW which was never repaid, nor reported as income as a forgive loan.

How could Bush have done this back then? Easy…a few lines written into a house budget bill could have said any member of the bin Laden family was granted automatic visa status per presidential request, and approved by Congress via hiding the lines in a big bill.

Yes, folks…this kind of stuff is done whenever they want to. That’s why up and coming hustlers want to join the ranks. There is a lot more to this. We will keep posting. Jim Dean.

Seems some of the same old flaws we have highlighted for years…hoarding info giving a false sense of power, no appreciation of the value of OSINT- social media, and silo's of information concordant with age old turf sequestration. DNI has done little to reduce the overall intel community's friction but added to it…makes me believe the intel community has way too many layers and internal bureaucracies to be effective…too big to function but big enough to fail dramatically,yet, not change…..no organizational learning…we never learn we never learn.

Last week’s attack at the Boston Marathon, like the attempted car bombing of Times Square almost three years ago, shows that the line between local conflicts and global ones has become thinner. Faisal Shahzad, the would-be terrorist in 2010, had legally lived in the United States for seven years and had earned citizenship the year before hatching his plot. He would later say that he was inspired to carry out the attack by the radical Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, but the United States discovered that the plot had, in fact, been organized and possibly financed by an extremist group called the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which usually targets the Pakistani state and military. The organization’s attempt to strike in the United States showed that its own distinction between the near and far enemy had become increasingly blurred.

The Canadian authorities linked the two to al-Qaeda factions in Iran, to the surprise of some security experts.

“The individuals were receiving support from al-Qaeda elements located in Iran,” Mr Malizia said.

Iran did host some senior al-Qaeda figures under a form of house arrest in the years following the September 11, 2001, attacks, but there has been little to no evidence to date of joint attempts to execute violence against the West.

However, a US government source said Iran was home to a little-known network of alleged al-Qaeda fixers and “facilitators” based in the city of Zahedan, very close to Iran's borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Owl: One Big Lie Many Small Lies … Boston Narrative Continues to Unravel

In light of this blog post, it is evident the official versions of this event is losing more and more and more credibility. If they are lying about how the older brother died, what else are they lying about?

This blogger poses some pointed questions that imply the police account of the death of the oldest Boston marathon bomber is a fraudulent one. While this blogger makes no effort to offer a conspiracy theory positioned from a larger context, other than indicate the cops may be merely covering up their trigger-happy engagement with the suspect, his observation and other questions, at the very end of the post, provides further material for those of us concerned about a wider false-flag conspiracy committed by the US federal government.

If he died from the cop's trigger-happy shooting, why does the autopsy picture of the suspect not show him riddled Swiss cheese-like with many more bullets than is evident in the photo? It seems only a limited number of bullets (or “multiple”, as the MD says below), plus bomb blast shrapnel, killed him. The MD below also said his body was not disintegrated, which one would expect of a human body hit by a barrage of bullets coming from many guns. Unfortunately, the blogger says nothing about this. The autopsy picture is reproduced above.

COMMENTARY ON THE ABOVE

Of course the article suggests that that's essentially the whole purpose of the library: to defend his actions. And another reason is that Jeb might be running for president in 2016 and a lot of PR work needs to be done between now and then. And considering the hubris of the Bushes I think it's a virtual certainty that he'll run. Therefore there's a need to defend Bush's record after all. Even he admits the need to himself, just not to the general public, not to the citizens he betrayed.

So it's not for national security reasons or diplomatic reasons that he resists admitting his mistakes and his deceit. All the fiends and enemies of the U.S. are already well aware of the consequences to the U.S. and to the world of Bush's lies and bungling. He's just hiding behind the excuse of national security and diplomacy like a kid behind his mother's skirt. He's the embodiment of the tale of the emperor who wore no clothes.
