The US has been planning to have Julian Assange handed over for a longtime, that much is obvious. Mike Pence, the Vice President, was visiting Ecuador last year, notionally to discuss the Venezuela situation, and trade. But it was fairly obvious at the time, and even more so now, that they were discussing the details of Assange being handed over to UK authorities, and eventually extradited to the US.

The US Government Won’t Care About Your Definition Of Journalism After The Assange Precedent Is Set

The particular journalistic activities that the US is currently trying to extradite Assange for is encouraging a source to give him more documents and conspiracy to help Manning hide her identity so that she would not be persecuted for her heroic act of whistleblowing. In other words, Assange was attempting to make sure Manning’s leaks had enough impact to justify the risk, and also to try and make sure she wasn’t caught and tortured for it.

As Glenn Greenwald has pointed out on Twitter, the indictment describes an activity that all investigative journalists partake in all the time.

Netanyahu — Zionist Israel — and 5G — will be the fault line issues in 2020. Trump might pull a giant rabbit out of the hat, if he shows Main Street that he is locking the Federal Reserve and Wall Street up. Early indications are that the large Democratic field is being encouraged to allow the super-delegates to make the final selection. Trump's creeping (not yet serious) dementia is shaping up as the Democrat's wooden stake issue — that might have more sway across the middle than his cheating at golf.
