4th media croppedUS Dirty Modus Operandi in Middle East: “Regime Change” Everywhere It Can

The 9/11 incident has polarized global politics into two distinct eras: pre-9/11 period and post-9/11 period with the latter wreaking havoc on the entire world, particularly on the Muslim world.

The pre-9/11 era witnessed terrorism, carnage, and mass murder across the globe on the part of the US government. Their atrocities ranged from the Philippines to Vietnam and Japan and any mentionable places on the planet.

However, the post-9/11 discourse changed drastically. The US emerged as the victim and the entire Muslim world was shown to be the guilty party.

In other words, the post-9/11 era provided the US government with a pretext to wage a war on terror or to put it more precisely, to wage a crusade against the Muslim world and to accelerate and vindicate their efforts in destabilizing regional strategic governments, thereby drawing nigh to their monstrous objectives.

In point of fact, the Muslims are bearing the brunt of a tragedy carefully choreographed by Washington with the express intention of spearheading a sinister agenda in the Middle East which is evidently ‘regime change’ on a massive scale.

SchwartzReport: Solar Employs, Nuclear & Oil Destroy

Here is what I consider to be excellent news. As opposed to the Keystone pipeline which will create a few thousand jobs in the construction phase but only 35 — yes count'em — 35 jobs on an ongoing basis, solar is creating thousands of jobs, and will for decades to come.

Need Jobs? US Solar Industry Provides Employment for More People Than Coal and Oil Combined
CHRISTINE SARICH – Nation of Change

Welcome to the future, its already here. Solar employs and nuclear destroys; we have ample evidence of that now, and with the annual U.S. solar jobs census we now have proof that solar power isn’t just providing energy, without destroying our oceans and contaminating the earth and air with strontium, caesium and barium, among other chemicals, it is providing more than 143,000 Americans a paycheck.

This is a horrible story that should surprise no one. When you run prisons as profit making operations — a business only sleazy people would be involved with — this is what one should expect. At least the story has a good ending in that some of the creeps went to prison. This is who we have become in the United States. I hate it. Profit prisons should be illegal.

Inside the Shocking
Amy Goodman – Reader Supported News

Today a special on “kids for cash,” the shocking story of how thousands of children in Pennsylvania were jailed by two corrupt judges who received $2.6 million in kickbacks from the builders and owners of private prison facilities. We hear from two of the youth: Charlie Balasavage was sent to juvenile detention after his parents unknowingly bought him a stolen scooter; Hillary Transue was detained for creating a MySpace page mocking her assistant high school principal. They were both 14 years old and were sentenced by the same judge, Judge Mark Ciavarella, who is now in jail himself – serving a 28-year sentence. Balasavage and Transue are featured in the new documentary, “Kids for Cash,” by filmmaker Robert May, who also joins us. In addition, we speak to two mothers: Sandy Fonzo, whose son Ed Kenzakoski committed suicide after being imprisoned for years by Judge Ciavar! ella, and Hillary’s mother, Laurene Transue. Putting their stories into context of the larger scandal is attorney Robert Schwartz, executive director of the Juvenile Law Center. The story is still developing: In October, the private juvenile-detention companies in the scandal settled a civil lawsuit for $2.5 million.

4.0 out of 5 stars My head hurts — connects science to philosophy as math, February 8, 2014

I was not expecting the math formulas and the dense language. It never occurred to me that philosphy would get so convuluted that it now has its own language and arcane formulas that require a lifetime of study to be conversant. Not fun at all.

Among the high points as I struggled with the various authors, most of them much too far from my own interest in humanities and the logic of human affairs:

01 Bottom line is about AGENCY — who gets to drive and in what direction. Science is the car and its elements and their capabilities. Causality is everything else.

02 There are two major camps: causal fundamentalists and causal republicanists. The first is adamant that causality is scientific and can be factored, the second that both science and philospphy have a convergent role in understanding causality.

The FLO Consensus: Author's Cut

Context within the Occupy Movement

Within the Occupy Movement and, from what I understand, in many of the social movements that preceded it, there has always been a conflict between the “revolutionaries” that want to create a crisis to first disrupt, and then destroy, the existing social order; and the “reformers” who want to take control of existing power structures and change society from “the inside”. Within the occupy landscape, the “revolutionaries” gravitate towards the language of “occupy” and “direct action” while the “reformers” gravitate towards the language of “99%” and “protest.”

This essay is concerned with a third group within the occupy movement – a group rarely mentioned by the media and often discounted by the activists who spend their time doing the type of self-promotion that gets them on to panels. I’m referring to the “providers”: activists who invest their time and resources into providing services to individuals and groups within “the movement”. These people are often vocal advocates for “mutual aid” (leftist terminology) or “free aid” (rightist terminology). Since occupy originated more from the left than the right, the term “mutual aid” is most popular, defined on Wikipedia as “voluntary reciprocal exchange of resources and services for mutual benefit.” Within the context of OWS, mutual aid is probably more accurately described as “the revolutionary act of helping people for free.”

PDF (11 Pages): Improve Your Thinking: Substance-Field Analysis

TRIZ4U: add another tool to your toolbox.

Over the years I participated in hundreds of workshops and seminars on improvement and innovation. Most of them offered magic outcomes quickly and sustainably. And, Iouri, the real outcome of the majority of these events, for me at least, was a waste of time. Only very few were worth it… Why TRIZ? Is it a new panacea?’ – responded a friend of mine to proposal to come to my TRIZ seminar in Sydney and to discover the Russian ‘silver bullet’.

Abacuses, adding machines and calculators all fulfil a similar function – help us with mathematic operations. Each of these apparatus represents a product that successfully fulfilled the function of its era but eventually was replaced by a superior technology. But why were these products successful? With research suggesting that up to 80 percent of products fail to deliver their intended benefit, it is a question that needs to be answered. One way to ensure a product's success would be to predict a successful product and develop it sooner than your competitors. Sounds unrealistic? It is possible.

One thing is for sure – products do not evolve randomly. There are patterns and tendencies of product evolution that have been identified through the analyses of thousands of patents that commenced in Russia over 50 years ago. The tools of TRIZ are based on these analyses.

TRIZ is the Russian acronym for Cyrillic words which mean Theory of Inventive Problem Solving. TRIZ is a well-established system of tools for innovative problem solving and idea generation. Genrich Altshuller, the ‘father of TRIZ’ started development of the tools in late 1940-es. Some of these tools can be explained as follows:
