It is hard even for attentive members of the public to fully comprehend the U.S. military budget.

“The scale of spending alone makes it hard to grasp. Public understanding of the costs of war is further limited by secrecy, faulty accounting, and the deferral of current costs,” I argued recently in a short paper for the Costs of War Project at Brown University. See The Costs of War: Obstacles to Public Understanding, November 14, 2018.

Neta C. Crawford of Brown University estimated the post-9/11 costs of war at $5.9 trillion through FY 2019.

Cities and Residents Are Rejecting the Federal Government’s Roll Out of 5G

Citizen advocate, Gary Gileno, picked up our feature from last week about three cities in Marin County, California, that rejected the federal 5G roll out. He says that the cities passed ordinances, which carry the force of the law, instead of resolutions that are merely statements of opinion. Gileno stresses the point that city councils legally can reject edicts of the federal government.

Tip of the Hat to Ray Songtree.

TRUMP IN CONTEXT

White Hats vs. Ruling Elite

Many have noticed the Trump presidency is extraordinary in more ways than one. Here is one way. In decades and centuries past, when a non-Establishment candidate has been elected to the White House, he has been promptly dispatched by gunshot, always by a crazed or extremist “lone gunman.” If Garfield, McKinley, Kennedy or Reagan had been as well prepared and protected as Trump has been to date, America likely would be a different and far better place than we know today.

During his campaign for president and at his inauguration, Donald Trump stated clearly he intended to take power back from the cabal of ruling elite and return it to the American people. That is tantamount to a declaration of war against the globalist kingmakers who have ruled the world for centuries, and the globalists’ counter-attack has been furious.

The Federal Reserve’s Great Depression

Let’s start with Fed Governor Ben Bernanke’s burst of reality:

—  “Let me end my talk by abusing slightly my status as an official representative of the Federal Reserve System. I would like to say to Milton and Anna: Regarding the Great Depression. You're right, we did it. We're very sorry. But thanks to you, we won't do it again.”
