The media anchors are absorbing, arranging, and broadcasting details given to them by the police investigators. The anchors are PR people for the cops. This has nothing to do with journalism. Nothing.

The tragedy of the commons, a concept described by ecologist Garrett Hardin, paints a grim view of human nature. The theory goes that, if a resource is shared, individuals will act in their own self-interest, but against the interest of the group, by depleting that resource. Mr. Trump,
You announced your presidential bid on June 16, 2015. Since then I have made multiple respectful attempts to connect with you directly, with Roger Stone, Cory Lewandowski and with your campaign staff. I wrote and published CounterCoup: How Trump Can Win, on 14 August 2015 in CounterPunch. I was unsuccessful in the months that followed. Worried about you, last week I turned to a retired hedge fund manager, now a philanthropist, and asked him who he talked to when he did his standard high dollar donation. Here’s what he told me:
Robert, it would surprise you how many people are attempting to reach Donald Trump right now. There is no campaign as we know it, no structure, no national coordination, no desire to connect with state/local GOP leadership—chaos is reigning supreme. The only people I know that were able to reach him (past tense) are the REDACTED folks, and that was through REDACTED.
Bernie Sanders is at the single most significant turning point in his life. Against all odds (greater odds than those faced by Donald Trump) he has mobilized a generation and restored some semblance of social and economic justice to the Democratic Party's notional position.
It is virtually certain that Hillary Clinton will be indicted before the convention, opening the path for Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren to emerge as the “sensible” alternatives to what many see as two impossible choices. Donald Trump — still our favorite for pure disruption reasons — has begun to self-destruct — if he does not get a professional policy staff that can address all threats and all policies with evidence-based decision-support in the context of a balanced budget, America will be voting for “least idiot” rather than “best president.”

Having witnessed many revolutions via media, my preference is for an evolution. For me, it is the difference between war and peace. The difference between the French Revolution and the reunification of Germany. Both were systemic and dramatic. One pushed people apart, and the other brought people together, all within their own country.
