Phi Beta Iota: The public is starting to do to the Rothschilds, Central Banks, and the Federal Reserve what plane spotters did to CIA rendition flights.  We support truth & reconciliation; we do NOT support revenge or expropriation of illicit assets.   The ill-gotten gains of the Rothschilds and the banks that front for them, notably the Federal Reserve, are a drop in the bucket compared to the infinite wealth that the five billion poor can create if these parasitic “elites” will just get out of the way.  So that is the deal: stay out of the way and keep what you have.  Interfere with the emergence of the global community of informed participatory democracy, and the deal is off.

Tim Berners-Lee calls for free internet worldwide

The inventor of the Web has called for everyone to have access to his creation for free.

Tim Berners-Lee said that he would like to see everybody given a low-bandwidth connection “by default”.

He said the web could be instrumental in giving people access to critical services such as healthcare.

Currently, he said, just one-fifth of the world's population has access to the web.

“What about the other 80%?” he asked the audience at the Nokia World conference in London.

Phi Beta Iota: Sir Tim is on target but misses the critical point, which is that the Internet is already free, what is NOT free is the handheld device needed to access it.  Earth Intelligence Network and its 24 co-founders are committed to the idea of free cell phones for the five billion poor, along with national call centers that educate them “one cell call at a time” while also providing access to the kinds of Internet application that the Grameen AppLab is creating.

The PLATINUM Lifetime Awards of the Golden Candle Award were given out in 2006 to ten individuals and one couple (Alvin & Heidi Toffler).  A twelfth award was ultimately given in 2008 to Emmanuel Goldstein for Hackers on Planet Earth (HOPE).

OSS Golden Candle Award

Golden Candle Awards were given out from 1992 to 2006 to 122 individuals and 50 organizations (some overlap).

The two together comprise the only persistent global recognition endeavor with respect to Open Source Intelligence (OSINT).
